On the left was our first award graphic design. Done around June of 1999 after applying for awards and deciding I needed one to give out myself. (They have always been medals and always offered in Gold and Bronze as well.) The photo of the ribbon was taken with a Sony Mavica 710 digital camera and the medal drawn in Paint Shop Pro.  If anyone knows what the ribbon signifies let me know please?

This design change to the image on the right reflected my wish to add the words "Design Excellence" to the awards program and make Harbeson and Associates a little more readable. These were awarded until about February of 2000.

This smaller image reflected a couple changes in the Medals Award program.  I started using the "Futured" font style on Harbeson and Associates Web Design so it made sense to apply that to the image.  The size change was prompted by Jan of CEM/CEMA in an effort to meet their criteria which called for a smaller image with 200x200 pixel limitations.

The name change on our current awards program came from this redesign.  Our intention was to make the medal itself look a bit more like a coin and clean up the words on the face of the medal. It was directly responsible for a huge increase in applications.

The one the left is the first image drawn for us by Monika of TMC Designs. There are only a couple of these floating around because it didn't last too long before Monika made it look even better. If you're displaying one of these I will gladly change it out for you.

Our intention with this design was to further the branding of Sunset Surfers Web Design onto the Medals. The idea was to have it look like a marble paperweight with a raised medallion in the center. This most recently retired image was, again, made by Monika of TMC Designs (now closed.) Thank you Monika for all you've done for our program.
