Since
December of 1999 these medals are earned by website designers who have made significant contributions to the improvement of the World Wide Web by online application of their expertise.
By reviewing and listing these sites we hope to make surfing the web
somewhat better for
everyone. We have learned a great deal from both the community of awards givers and from looking at the sites (like yours) that apply for this award.
The medals will be awarded in three levels (Gold, Silver and
Bronze) and all awarded sites will display their expertise in the areas of content, good taste, new technology, design and navigation.
What we look for in each of these areas is detailed in our criteria section which you will see next.
